HOLIDAY PACKAGE

What we provide and what you need.



 

Included in your holiday package where required:

  • 7 nights self-catering accommodation

  • Bedding and towel

  • Prices are based on sharing a twin room 

  • If single room occupancy is required or couples needing their own holiday rentals, then we can arrange this for a supplement, just ask.

  • Welcome pack (tea, coffee, milk, etc)

  • Transport to launches

  • Pick up from landing fields

  • Daily briefing with detailed weather forecast and daily plan

  • Briefings on launches

  • XC Retrieve service

  • Cross county fly guidance (we can fly with you in the air when its a cross country day, ask for details)

  • Instruction in Cross county and thermalling techniques can be provided (see courses advanced courses)

  • Friendly launches, most with Astro turf and big landing fields

  • Run from Saturday to Saturday ( we can arrange other arrival days, just ask)

  • 30 years of flying and guiding in the area 
     

Getting here:

Airport pickup can be arranged, for a small cost. We pick up and drop off at Malaga airport up to 13:00 on Saturday morning and drop off on Saturday morning a 10:00.

 

We can arrange pick up outside of these times it just costs a little more. If you want to come on odd days this is generally not a problem just let us know and we will try and help with your airport pick up.

 

For those who want to keep the costs down there is a bus service from Malaga bus station to Algodonales or Ronda. See here for details: Bus routes and time table

 

If there are few of you car hire is cheap go to our links page for details. There is also a taxi service again contact us for details we always try and be flexible to make sure you get here.

Please be sure to bring the following with you for maximum safety and enjoyment

Pilot checklist:

  • Certified wing appropriate for your skill level

  • Harness with certified back protection 

  • Documentation showing Club Pilot (BHPA ) or above or your FAI Para Pro Stage 3 rating (IPPI card click on link below) (or your country's equivalent)

  • Flying overseas and applying for your IPPI card click here

  • It is a requirement in europe that you must always have photo identification on you. We recommend either your passport or your driving license (with photo) is kept on your person along with your holiday insurance. 

  • European Health Insurance Card. See here for details

  • Reserve parachute ( must of been repacked in the last 12 months) 

  • Retrieve system utilising modern tracking systems for example we use Live track 24 and WhatsApp we recommend you download these to your mobile before arriving

  • Radio (hire available) 

  • We highly recommend you have a good radio headset if you want to be guided in the air. Not a hand held mike as these are rubbish!

  • Vario (hire available)

  • GPS (suggested)

  • Certified helmet 

  • Suitable clothing (E.G. windproof jackets, strong long pants, appropriate warm clothes for cloud base)

  • Gloves

  • Suitable boots (ankle support)

  • Repatriation insurance and European Health Insurance card

  • We recommend you drink whilst flying as the hotter months dehydration is possible, bring a suitable container
